Lola Abigail Koch

Lola Abigail Koch is a distinguished American ballet producer, celebrated former ballerina, and visionary leader in the ballet community. A graduate of the renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Lola danced with the Bolshoi Ballet from 1998 to 2008, while also earning a Bachelor’s degree in Ballet Pedagogy and Choreography in 2003, followed by a Master’s degree in Dance and Art in 2005. Her pursuit of knowledge extended to Public Administration and Management, which she completed in 2008.


In 2009, Lola moved to New York City, where she transitioned from performing to producing, judging ballet competitions, teaching, creating events, managing productions, and fundraising for ballet projects. During the pandemic, she founded the Ballet Support Foundation (501c3), a NYC-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young ballet dancers and producing innovative ballet projects.


As a guest master teacher at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, Lola also continues to inspire the next generation of dancers. Notably, she produced the “Holiday Season with Ballet Stars”Gala at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami in December 2023, showcasing world-renowned ballet stars like Natalia Osipova (Royal Ballet), Christine Shevchenko (ABT), Mira Nadon (NYCB), Liudmila Pagliero (Opera de Paris),Xin Ying (Martha Graham)and more.


Her unique approach has bridged ballet and fashion, as seen in March 2024 when she presented ballet at Paris Fashion Week with a star prima ballerina from the Wiener Staatsoper. This performance, celebrated in Harper’s Bazaar, Madame Figaro, Elle, Marie Claire, and other major fashion publications, captivated audiences by merging art forms.


Lola’s latest project, “Match,” a ballet piece honoring tennis legend Serena Williams, premiered on June 2, 2024, at the Kravis Center, further solidifying her reputation as a pioneering force in ballet and opera  productions and creative projects.
