Harriet Newman Cohen

Harriet Newman Cohen is a founding partner of Cohen Stine Kapoor LLP, a dynamic post-pandemic matrimonial and family law firm that launched on January 1, 2021. Ms. Cohen was the subject of a feature profile written by Michael Y. Park for New York Super Lawyers, entitled, “The Second Life of Harriet Cohen, What the Matrimonial Lawyer Learned to Share with the World.” With this launch of her new law firm, Ms. Cohen enters her “Third Life” – her post-pandemic professional life.

A graduate of Barnard College (B.A. cum laude) (Latin major; Music minor) Bryn Mawr College (M.A. in Latin) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D. cum laude), Ms. Cohen, when at law school, was an editor of the Brooklyn Law Review.

Ms. Cohen, a former pianist, also serves on the Board of the Stecher and Horowitz Foundation, and on the Board of Directors of the Lotos Club as the Chair of its Music Committee.
